Valentino Spring 2014 Paris Haute Couture


Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli created fifty-five couture costume for fifty-five opera. Runway opened with La Traviata and there was Giuseppe Verdi's notes embroidered on parchment-colored tulle long dress. Bizet's Carmen inspired label's designers to create pleated bronze tulle gown with silver-gray guipure lace embroideries and Puccni;s La Boheme influenced  sophisticated navy cashmere cape and silk crepe sheath. "we wanted to describe the character of each protagonist in a primordial way" said Chiuri. Silk marocain dresses in sienna, gray and mahogany palettes were extremely impressive.
Goddess gold thread dress embellished with 4000 smoky gemstones shocked the audience. Animals conquered Valentino haute couture. Feather swan, snake and peacock wrapped around the waistline of ballerina tutus, lions and elephants on cashmere gown, also gorilla and baby were spotted tucked amid the leather floral applicque of an organza cape arose harmony of  life between human and fauna world. Final black tulle dress with transparent V cut breast and satin embroidered lion among colored grass was the infinite splendour.
The awesome catwalk was held in Rome Opera House. Brand's creative director's invited opera's artisans to paint the runway backdrop.
