Nicolas Ghesquiere, one of the most influential designers of our time, has announced that he will be leaving his position as Creative Director at Balenciaga of 15 years.
PPR, Balenciaga’s parent company, stated that “This was a joint decision to end their working relationship effective November 30th 2012.” Those of you in the labor force know how ominous that vague of a statement can be.
There has been no word yet on what Nicolas has in store for the future but wherever he ends up, I hope that he is still able to share his work with the world.
